There were concerns over the safety of the location from wayward golf balls, and safety of the roadway access. After the May Planning Commission meeting RSA amended their plans to increase the width of the roadway. The plans called for saving all the live oaks on the site, with the removal of two pine trees. The Baldwin County Commission heard arguments on both sides during the public hearing, including expert testimony about the impact of wayward golf balls, and golf course design standards. After the public hearing the Baldwin County Commission voted unanimously to deny the request for re-zoning and the Planned Residential Development (PRD).
