ROBERTSDALE, Ala. – The past month’s chilly temperatures had no effect on Baldwin County real estate. Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reports year-over-year increases in the total number of properties sold in January 2021 for both Resort and Traditional Residential areas of the county, as well as significant percentage drops for average days on market (DOM).
The Resort area of Baldwin County saw a total of 148 properties sold last month, compared to 139 in January 2020 – a 6.5% increase. Average sales price was at an almost record high (just shy of October 2020’s reporting) at $512,823. And average DOM decreased by 15.5% from January 2020 with 82 days in comparison to 97.
For Traditional Residential properties in Baldwin County, a total of 364 sold last month, compared to 309 in January 2020. Listings in this area continue to fly off the market, but this month reported at an all-time low of 49 DOM. Average sales price trends for this area remain consistent with our most recent monthly reports.
